How To Make Fudge

  1. Sieve the cocoa powder and sugar to get rid of all the unnecessary particles.
  2. Add in the sieved sugar, cocoa and milk in the saucepan. Turn on the high flame and bring it to boil. Keep stirring all the ingredients using the wooden spoon. Reduce the heat and simmer the mixture. Make sure that the sugar is dissolved properly and a thick, glossy mixture is formed.

Keynotes When Making Fudge At Home

Listed below are some expert tips from those who have worked with fudge before. These tips would help you make the best sweet treats for you and your loved ones.

  • You should only use condensed milk and not evaporated milk. Evaporated milk is not suitable for a fudge recipe as it makes the candy dry and loses its moisture
  • If you think that the fudge is way too soft, and it wouldn’t taste good. You can add a little number of chocolate chips. This would thicken the consistency of the mixture.
  • Never store the hot fudge mixture directly in the freezer for it to cool down. Set it aside on the counter for a couple of minutes so that all the excessive heat escapes and then keep it in the fridge for it to harden.
